The Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), a United Nations-supported initiative, is proud to announce that the 5th Responsible Management Education (RME) Week will take place from 30 June–4 July 2027 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, hosted by Sunway Business School.
Bringing together leaders from academia, business, the United Nations, and student communities, RME Week serves as a global platform to advance responsible management education and strengthen collaboration in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The 2027 edition marks another important step in PRME’s commitment to rotating RME Week across regions of the world to ensure greater accessibility and representation for its global community. Following recent editions hosted in North America and Africa, hosting the event in Asia reflects PRME’s dedication to engaging and elevating voices from across the East and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
RME Week 2027 will once again convene in colaboration with longstanding global partners AACSB, EFMD Global, and Responsible Research in Business and Management (RRBM), while also welcoming additional regional partners and collaborators to be announced in the coming months. The week will feature a dynamic programme of events focused on advancing responsible leadership, sustainability, ethics, and societal impact in business and management education.
“Bringing the PRME Global Forum to Malaysia marks an important milestone for our community. As the first Global Forum hosted in Asia, it reflects the growing leadership of institutions across the region in advancing responsible management education and sustainable development. We are grateful to Sunway Business School for their partnership, vision, and commitment to responsible leadership, which will make the 2027 PRME Global Forum a transformative gathering for the PRME community,” shared Dr. David Steingard, Head of PRME.
Since its launch in 2023, RME Week has become a growing global convening for educators, researchers, students, accreditation bodies, and institutional leaders working to transform business and management education for a more sustainable and inclusive future. The event combines high-level dialogue, collaborative workshops, networking opportunities, and cross-sector engagement to drive meaningful change across higher education.
Additional details regarding programme themes, registration, and regional partnerships will be announced in the coming months.
