PRME Global
Young people around the world have created a youth-led definition of green skills, under the banner of the Green Jobs for Youth Pact, created by UNEP, UNICEF, and ILO. The GJYP will create 1 million green jobs for youth and green 1 million more.
This definition and accompanying advocacy asks are the result of a major five-part workshop series has taken place over the last six months, engaging thousands of young people across North and South America, Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Students and young people are calling for educators, policymakers, and employers to make key reforms across society to support youth to develop green skills and progress into green jobs.
The event will feature a three-part dialogue, between young people and high-level stakeholders representing leading universities, government representatives, and major employers. Young people will present their collective advocacy aims.
The event is organized and presented by the members of the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI) Student Action Group.
