ClimateIQ: Policymakers Edition

ClimateIQ: Policymakers Edition is a global online event connecting policymakers with leading climate experts from around the world. Running from 28 September to 2 October 2026. The programme features expert-led sessions delivered across multiple time zones in collaboration with IUCA member universities, UN PRME, MIT En-ROADS and Nottingham Trent University.

The programme covers a diverse range of policy-relevant themes, including climate adaptation and resilience, mitigation and energy transitions, health, transport, climate literacy, sustainable development, ESG, just transitions, governance, and the use of climate research and evidence in decision-making.

Sessions will be delivered across multiple time zones to enable global participation. Designed primarily for policymakers, ClimateIQ also welcomes researchers, practitioners and higher education professionals interested

Within this programme, the PRME Working Group on Climate & the Environment is hosting the Climate Literacy Training for Policymakers.

The Climate Literacy Training for Policymakers connects climate science with practical policy decision-making. Through focused one-hour online sessions, it helps policymakers explore effective climate policies, understand real-world examples, and strengthen their capacity to make decisions in their sphere of influence. Sessions are of interest to anyone looking to understand various applications of climate science to policy.

Attend a single session for a working model of one sector; complete the pathway and the assessment for a certificate and hands-on climate-simulation capability. Each session is delivered twice to support different time zones.
