Responsible Supply Chains in Polycrisis: Resilience, Rights, and the Role of Business Schools

The PRME Working Group on Responsible Supply Chain recently hosted an engaging webinar titled “Responsible Supply Chains in Polycrisis: Resilience, Rights, and the Role of Business Schools.” The session brought together leading academics and industry practitioners to explore how supply chains are being reshaped by interconnected global challenges, including climate change, geopolitical disruptions, human rights concerns, and emerging regulatory requirements. Discussions focused on balancing resilience with ethical responsibility, integrating human rights due diligence into management education, and preparing future leaders to address the complexities of sustainable supply chain management. Speakers highlighted innovative pedagogical approaches, curriculum gaps, and the critical role of business schools in fostering responsible business practices. The webinar also emphasized collaboration among PRME institutions to develop teaching resources, case studies, and frameworks that advance responsible management education and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
