How has your work advanced the SDGs and responsible management education?

Our work involves delivering a climate change awareness workshop to 1st year undergraduate students in small groups where they work together to connect the causes and consequences of climate change and engage in a facilitated discussion of how their individual actions and those of business leaders can change to be more climate friendly.

How has your work promoted student skill development?

Students learn about climate change and have to engage in teamwork to complete and workshop. They also have a structured opportunity to get to know others in their class during their first week at University. They also have to write a reflection on the workshop, developing their writing skills.

How might this be a useful model for others?

The initiative demonstrates how experiential learning can be integrated into a large undergraduate module with the right team of educators and support from the business school.
