In this webinar, Dr. Ekaterina Ivanova, Dr. Isabel Rimanoczy, and Dr. Divya Singhal will share insights from their journey of conceptualizing and curating this interdisciplinary volume as co-editors. Drawing on contributions from educators worldwide, the book highlights arts-based approaches that transform learning experiences.
The webinar will explore how arts-based pedagogies, ranging from educators as artists, to action-driven art, aesthetic learning spaces and applying digital technologies and crafts can foster empathy, creativity, and deep reflection. These approaches enable learners to engage with sustainability not only intellectually, but experientially, cultivating an “inside-out” understanding that bridges knowledge and meaningful action.
Through selected stories, reflections, and examples from the book, the editors will highlight how such pedagogical innovations can inspire transformative shifts in mindsets and contribute to the development of responsible, future-ready leaders.
The session will conclude with a moderated Q&A led by Dr. Deborah J. Natoli, Professor (Teaching) USC Price School of Public Policy and chair of the AOM MSR Teaching and Learning Committee.
