Unleashing the Power of Impactful-Five (i5) Pedagogies with Community Workshops and Dialogues

The PRME Secretariat is thrilled to offer a new series of community training workshops for PRME Signatory Members that aim to reimagine the way education is approached to create a lasting impact on students and society. The Impactful-Five (i5) Project seeks to provide an opportunity for creative engagement with challenging subject-matter in the classroom. With the first workshop launching this August, PRME will be shining a spotlight on the groundbreaking work of the Impactful-Five (i5) Project and its pedagogy, and the lessons that have been learned through pilots with the Chapter-based Expert Pedagogy Members, PRME Champions, and the PRME Working Groups. The PRME Secretariat looks forward to opening this opportunity to the wider PRME audience of educators and can't wait for them to be a part of this transformative journey.

This is a remarkable opportunity for PRME Signatory members to elevate their teaching practices and advance their institution's commitment to responsible management education.

About the i5 Project

The i5 Project is an innovative initiative that draws upon the knowledge and research of The LEGO Foundation to design and test innovative pedagogical methods. These approaches aim to cultivate a comprehensive skill set in the next generation of leaders, enabling them to effectively address the challenges of sustainable development. Collaborating with Project Zero at the esteemed Harvard Graduate School of Education, PRME has compiled a team of educational experts that seek to learn with and from educators as they work to make this pedagogy effective and impactful in business schools and higher education. This research has been adapted to suit the higher education business school context, resulting in a pedagogical Playbook, which includes countless community examples from pilots with PRME community members leading their classroom in creative and joyful ways. This valuable resource equips educators from the PRME community with practical tools to create meaningful, joyful, engaging, social, and iterative learning experiences, embracing the i5 characteristics.

The primary objective is to foster the adoption of playful learning in pedagogy to promote holistic development among the global network of leadership educators within PRME. Business school educators are the primary target audience, as their transformation will lead to impactful changes. Ultimately, the beneficiaries of this initiative are the students (aged 18-28 years old) attending PRME Signatory schools. By nurturing playful learning, we aim to harness the potential of five pedagogies that have demonstrated unparalleled effectiveness in nurturing socially responsible, ethical, and impactful leaders of tomorrow.
