Media Advisory: Business School Leaders to convene at UN PRME Global Forum

UN PRME Global Forum to prepare responsible business leaders to advance the sustainable

development agenda.

WHAT: 2023 Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Global Forum

WHEN: 13-14 June 2023

WHERE: Hybrid Forum in-person in New York City and online (registration details below)

UNITED NATIONS, New York, 13 April 2023 – Business school leaders and students from around the world will join Mette Morsing, Head of the UN Global Compact’s Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), and many other leading voices in responsible management education for the 2023 PRME Global Forum to connect, share ideas, and commit to impact specifically on pedagogy, climate change, digital innovations, and leadership.

According to UNESCO’s Higher Education Report, one third of tertiary education students come from business, management, law, and economics, making it the largest field of study in higher education. In order to meet the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by their deadline of 2030, these students must have a holistic skillset as they become the next generation of business leaders. Therefore, business schools are poised to create a substantial shift in responsible management education.

The forum will feature inspirational talks and panel debates from responsible management education professionals and business leaders as well as workshops to deliver new pedagogical frameworks and systems changes within business schools.

Confirmed speakers include John Goodwin, Executive Chair of The Learning Economy Foundation; Andrew Jack, Global Education Editor at the Financial Times; Tima Bansal, Founder of the Network for Business Sustainability; Lerzan Aksoy, Dean of the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University; Daniel Wilson, Director of Project Zero at Harvard Graduate School of Education; Jason Jay, Director of the Sustainability Initiative at MIT Sloan; Raj Sisodia, Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of Conscious Capitalism, Inc.; Andy Hoffman, Holcim Professor of Sustainable Enterprise at the University of Michigan; Wilfred Mijnhardt, Policy Director at the Rotterdam School of Management; Bindu Agrawal, Founder, Art of Learning & Consultant at Marketplace Simulations; Nicholas Igneri, Senior Vice President and Global Chief Product Officer at AACSB; and Sobhi Tawil, Director of Future of Learning and Innovation at UNESCO.
