Executive Summary
Inheriting the century of business education at Lanzhou University, and benefiting from the unique advantage of the only comprehensive management school in comprehensive “985” and one of the first batch of "Double first-class" universities in China, LUSM has formed its distinctive features and strength.
The management education of LZU can be traced back to the specialized class of Bank Accounting in the period of National Gansu College in 1939, which enjoys a development history of more than 80 years. For a century, the management discipline of LZU has witnessed continuous adjustment, regrouping, integration, and optimization.
In May 2004, in accordance with the process of optimization of LZU’s disciplinary structures and to meet the demands of the era in scientific research and talent development, the School of Management was officially established. With 20 years of effort, the management discipline and management education have seen breaking-through progress, where the school now enjoys the reputation as the “cradle of high-level management talents and scholars in western China”.
