PRME and oikos International team up again: the call for LEAP 2025 is now open!

oikos International and the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) are pleased to announce the call for the next LEAP Cohort in 2025. LEAP is a programme for the joint personal and professional development of undergraduates, Masters, PhD students and post-doctoral researchers addressing sustainability challenges.

What you need to know about the LEAP 2025 cohort

The program runs from mid-April to September. Through LEAP, you’ll cultivate the mindset and skills needed to drive systemic change, with a particular emphasis on creating positive impact at institutional and community levels.

At the heart of the program lies the opportunity for participants to engage in unique monthly workshops designed to learn and practice responsible leadership. Out of our 23 LEAP skills set, we selected 3 to dive deep in: 1) The Art of Listening, 2) Setting Healthy Boundaries Aligned with Our Values, and 3) From Conflict to Connection: The Magic of Effective Communication. 90% of the workshops are practice-based, because this is what makes the difference in the end - our level of practice and commitment to the practice. As Toke Møller from Art of Hosting says, “what we practice, we will become”.

A special highlight will be a session on Playful Learning and Education, led by expert facilitators in playfulness. This workshop promotes meaningful learning experiences through active engagement, iterative design, supportive social interactions, and the cultivation of joy and well-being. Building on the PRME Impactful Five (i5) Framework, it will provide participants with a dynamic and enriching foundation for transforming education.

Another core element of LEAP is the development of Communities of Practice—a peer group for collective learning, skill-building, and knowledge exchange. These communities are designed to strengthen your impact locally, whether at your university or within your region, and to provide you with a solid support system.

The Accountability Buddy System adds another layer of support and connection. Count on the support of your fellow program participants, the PRME team, the oikos International team, and our coaches and facilitators! On top of that, you’ll have the option to pair up with an accountability buddy. Many participants have shared how this personalized touch became one of the most meaningful aspects of their experience.

We are also thrilled to host our program once again on Sutra, a platform created by Lorenz and Natasha Sell, specifically designed for changemakers. Sutra fosters connection and conversation and is used by a range of inspiring initiatives and organizations, such as The Presencing Institute and Harvard University. Sutra will provide you with access to valuable resources and connect you to the broader community, enhancing your experience and fostering a sense of belonging.

Who can join LEAP?

Undergraduates, Master’s Students, Ph.D. Students or Postdoctoral Researchers

Ideal candidates are those eager to develop their interpersonal skills, and inspire others to step into their role as conscious leaders within their communities and organizations. By doing so, they will help build effective, conscious communities that drive systemic transformation toward sustainability and the well-being of both people and the planet.

In sum, candidates:

  • Address management or sustainability challenges in their research and / or teaching

  • Have a high motivation to develop personally and professionally

  • Have a vision of an economic system that respects planetary boundaries and serves a just society for all

How to join LEAP?

To apply, fill out the registration form. We are particularly seeking individuals who are deeply committed to showing up and actively participating.
