Special Issue Title: Creative teaching methods for achieving responsible management: Educating the next generation of business leaders
Closing date for submissions: 31 August 2024
Expected publication date: June 2025
This special issue explores pedagogical innovation for the development of responsible management skills among students and professionals as well as educators. Impact and effectiveness of such innovation could include the development of cognitive, behavioral and/or personal competence development. Sustainable development is an interdisciplinary issue that connects business with the sciences, social sciences, and humanities. We strongly encourage views that go beyond traditional business school pedagogies and are explicit in supporting the holistic nature of the SDGs.
In order to align with the thematic scope of this special issue and the pedagogical priorities being advanced within the PRME community, submitted papers should adhere to all of the following criteria:
The paper centers on pedagogy, specifically addressing theories and methods of teaching and other learning interventions. Emphasis is placed on exploring creative and novel approaches to teaching and learning interventions.
The paper explores themes of ethics, responsibility, and sustainability, explicitly acknowledging the interconnected and holistic nature of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Given the interrelated nature of the SDGs and the urgency to address these global issues in business and society, we encourage all papers to embody this framing.
The paper addresses the critical skills development in some theoretical, qualitative, or quantitative way. Impact may be the dominant perspective or just an outlook, but it should be addressed in the paper.
