PRME Global
Convened by Case Western Reserve University, the United Nations Global Compact, and the Academy of Management Event website and registration: www.globalforum2009.com Event contact: globalforum2009@case.edu Description of Event: The Global Forum will bring together 600 leaders in business, management education, design, and sustainability to explore ways that sustainability and design can create business value and enhance management education. The forum is action-oriented and will use large-group methods to invent projects for post-forum implementation. Speakers include Jeffrey Sachs, Bill McDonough, Bruce Mau, Janine Benyus, Georg Kell, Ray Anderson, Toby Cosgrove, and David Cooperrider. Companies participating include IDEO, Wal-Mart, the Cleveland Clinic, Cisco, Dow Chemical, P&G, Ford, Patagonia, and IBM. PRME was first created at the Global Forum in October 2006 and at the 2009 Global Forum a workshop on Learning Methods and PRME, particularly on “PRME and Experiential Learning” will be held on June 3. A second workshop on June 4 will be devoted to review and making progress on the “Guidelines for PRME Implementation”. Expected outcomes are a new draft of the “Guidelines for PRME Implementation”, and a new section for “PRME and learning Methods”. Cost: $500 corporate. $400 government. $300 academic / non-profit / youth. One-day pass: $250. Fee includes meals, breaks during the event, and three receptions.
