The PRME Regional Chapter Brazil has the pleasure of inviting you to attend the conference on:

New Research Questions for the Advancement of the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals

Hosted by the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná (FIEP) on 13-14 September in Curitiba, the conference will be co-organized by PRME Regional Chapter Brazil, UNDP Brazil, PRME Regional Chapter DACH, PRME Secretariat and PRME Working Group on Poverty, a Challenge for Management Education, with the support of UN Global Compact Brazilian Committee.

The goal of the conference is to create a forum to discuss how research and management education community, in collaboration with businesses, policy makers, NGOs, youth, media, and other stakeholders interested in the new role of business in society, su stainable development, and responsible management education, could best support the ongoing flagship initiatives of UN Global Compact and PRME focused on the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals. What should the new research agenda look like in order to effectively contribute to the understanding of the challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of the SDGs? How the newly created knowledge and understanding could be integrated into business and management practice, public policies and responsible management education?

An exciting program will include diverse formats such as prominent keynote speakers, thematic panels and roundtables, parallel sessions around the conference topics, posters and other forms of interactive exchange. A special feature of the program is that it is open for codesign by PRME Working Groups, PRME Regional Chapters, PRME Champion Group, other stakeholders and research community from PRME and beyond, through their submissions to the Call for Contributions.

We invite you to contribute to the event by proposing conference tracks/sessions and/or submitting research inputs that could contribute to creating a new research agenda for the advancement of the SDGs:

  • April 30th: Deadline for submitting conference tracks/session proposals
  • June 15th: Deadline for submitting research inputs (abstracts, working papers, work in progress)
