PRME Steering Committee member, ABIS (the Academy of Business in Society) invites you to save the date and invite your colleagues to join the ABIS Annual Colloquium 2014 — Transforming Tomorrow: Leadership for a Sustainable Future, which will convene at the University of Cambridge from 9-11 December 2014.
As a unique thought leadership forum connecting the corporate and academic worlds, the 2014 Colloquium will focus on new insights and approaches to leadership and organisational development which are required to accelerate progress towards a more sustainable future.
Profound systemic change will be needed, inspired and delivered by individuals who understand and can navigate the complex opportunities and challenges inherent in this change. The forum will address three fundamental issues:
We will explore these essential questions through a wide range of dialogues between business pioneers and academic leaders, as well as a selection of new insights and case studies from in-company practice and global scholarship.

The Colloquium offers various opportunities to participants to access, present, discuss and network around new sustainability insights and knowledge. These include:
Doctoral session – 9 December (from 14:00 GMT)
Interactive exchanges between a group of young researchers, senior managers and renowned professors on new themes and career development in sustainability-driven research and innovation. Doctoral students are encouraged to submit their contributions on the theme of transformative leadership.
A host of parallel sessions will be on offer for the broad interests of business practitioners and academia:

Capacity-Building Workshops Presentation and in-depth dialogue around select case studies of transformative leadership for sustainability in practice. Each will be designed with an emphasis on high value tools and approaches for attendees to apply in their own organisation. |
Research & Knowledge Sessions Small-group paper presentation and discussion of leading research, grouped by theme. The most impressive and innovative ideas from the contributions will showcased in a plenary session on Day Two.
