ABIS Annual Colloquium 2014 — Transforming Tomorrow: Leadership for a Sustainable Future

PRME Steering Committee member, ABIS (the Academy of Business in Society) invites you to save the date and invite your colleagues to join the ABIS Annual Colloquium 2014 — Transforming Tomorrow: Leadership for a Sustainable Future, which will convene at the University of Cambridge from 9-11 December 2014.

As a unique thought leadership forum connecting the corporate and academic worlds, the 2014 Colloquium will focus on new insights and approaches to leadership and organisational development which are required to accelerate progress towards a more sustainable future.

Profound systemic change will be needed, inspired and delivered by individuals who understand and can navigate the complex opportunities and challenges inherent in this change. The forum will address three fundamental issues:

  1. What can we learn from corporate sustainability pioneers who have embarked on long-term systemic transformation processes in and with their organisations?
  2. What needs to change in the current environment for the leaders of sustainability-driven transformation to develop and emerge?
  3. How can such transformational leadership be facilitated and strengthened, across industries and between private, public and civic sectors, in pursuit of long-term change?
  4. Are Business Schools adequately equipped to deliver on such a long-term transformative agenda?

We will explore these essential questions through a wide range of dialogues between business pioneers and academic leaders, as well as a selection of new insights and case studies from in-company practice and global scholarship.
