The School of Business and Management (SBM) Institut Teknologi Bandung was established on December 31, 2003. SBM ITB located in the Main Campus of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) whereas ITB as the best science and technology institute in Indonesia. SBM ITB has a role as a hub and orchestrator to develop and grow technopreneur in Indonesia.
As a leading technological university in Indonesia, ITB constantly seeks new values in technologies, processes, products & services, and business models. Therefore, SBM ITB was established. Built on humanities and management science, SBM ITB completes the various fields in ITB. SBM ITB education system aims to develop innovative leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as developing and disseminating knowledge of business and management for the betterment of business, government, and society.
The mission of a business school is to nurture world-class management professionals who can compete in the age of advanced technology, social, economic, and cultural globalization, and accelerated communication.
SBM ITB as the best business school in Indonesia always contributes and brings a significant impact on society at the national and global levels. The business and management disciplines in SBM ITB play an instrumental role in bridging ITB’s distinctive strengths in the fields of science and technology to create meaningful value and impact for the society, industry, and government.

Currently, SBM ITB has more than 100 faculty members, supporting staff, research centers and also cutting-edge facilities, SBM ITB actively conducts research activities in 6 different interest groups: Business Risk and Finance, Business Strategy and Marketing, Decision Making and Strategic Negotiation, Entrepreneurship and Technology Management, Operations and Performance Management, and People and Knowledge Management.
