Recognizing the power of over 3 million students across its Signatory Members, PRME established the PRME Students community (formerly known as PRME Global Students or PGS) as a global platform to channel this collective energy toward meaningful change. Designed to empower the next generation of responsible leaders, PRME Students advances PRME’s mission to transform management education by fostering creative collaboration, collective reflection, and joyful exchange among student organizations. This vibrant community strengthens local and global connections across the university ecosystem, enabling students to drive sustainable development and amplify collective impact for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Today, PRME Students actively engages more than 500 student organizations worldwide.
Overview
The PRME Students Mentorship Programme connects students at Signatory Member institutions with experienced professionals working in sustainability fields. Through virtual group and one-on-one sessions, students receive personalized career guidance, explore professional pathways, and build networks with peers and mentors who share a commitment to responsible management. In addition to career support, students also benefit from sessions that deepen their understanding of the SDGs and their relevance to future careers.
Programme Objectives
Provide tailored guidance on careers in sustainability-focused industries and roles
Help students identify the skills and experiences needed for different career paths
Support job and internship searches, career planning, and professional development
How It Works
Over the course of six months, students are matched with mentors based on shared career interests. Mentors come from diverse sectors including academia, business, and NGOs, and represent a range of professional disciplines, including marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, and more.
Outcomes for Students
By the end of the programme, participants will gain:
Clarity on career directions and required skills
Strategies to execute a personalized career plan
Enhanced professional competencies and a stronger career network
Evaluation
To assess impact, participants will complete a feedback form and post-programme survey, measuring how effectively the mentorship supported their professional growth and commitment to responsible management.

What began as research support through the PRME Students Mentorship Programme became a catalyst for Navruz Erkaev’s journey into sustainability leadership, guided by the insight and encouragement of mentor Frank Longo. From an award-winning thesis to founding a student-led SDG initiative, Navruz’s story shows how mentorship can empower lasting impact.
When Hasti Trivedi moved to Canada to study Sustainable Business at Conestoga College, she never imagined she’d find a global network of like-minded peers. But through PRME Students, she discovered just that, and more. From volunteer to leader, Hasti’s story is a reminder that growth starts with saying yes.
