This interactive workshop is designed to support all management education academics who are interested in designing and publishing research within the domains of management education, business education, or the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL).
What will the webinar cover?
-It will provide a comprehensive introduction to the Scholarship of Management Education research, offering insights into initiating research projects, developing research questions, and selecting appropriate methodologies in management education.
-Participants will also explore ways to integrate scholarly inquiry into their teaching practice, aligning their research global trends in management education, including PRME and the SDGs.
-The session will incorporate a discussion about the challenges and opportunities that management education research can offer academics at all stages of their career. It will empower education researchers with the tools, strategies, and confidence to publish their work effectively and in places that have impact.
-You will explore the key components of successful academic publishing, learn how to identify the right journals and conferences for your work, and gain insights into the peer review process.
-It will also focus on some of the critical practices for successful business education publishing such as managing your own research profile, predatory journals and conferences, common pitfalls and how to access funding and support.
This masterclass is particularly relevant for education focused academics, and for educators seeking to enhance their engagement with educational scholarship and ideate impactful research within their professional development and career plan. Professor Peter Bryant will lead the session, sharing practical advice on how to start publishing and disseminating research outcomes effectively.
