The results of the CLC and the PRME Carbon Literacy Video Competition will be announced at the PRME Carbon Literacy Action Day, an additional event for the PRME community, on 11 November 2021, 8:00 – 9:00 am. REGISTER HERE.
Ahead of the COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference, to be held in Glasgow from 31 October to 12 November 2021, we are looking to you to help launch a social movement: Train the millions - The Carbon Literacy Chain (CLC).
Through this movement, we want to encourage the certified Carbon Literates among you to conduct a training of your own in the lead up to COP26.
In the map below, all of the trainings that are taking place over this period are represented by GREEN pins. The purpose is to showcase our amplified impact and motivate more people to join The Carbon Literacy Chain.
If you have not yet participated in a Carbon Literacy Training but would like to, please find a training near you, or attend a virtual one by registering with the information provided in the map pin(s). If you would like to take part and need more information, please see the training manual and/or contact CLT@unprme.org.
If you have not already submitted information on your training but are running one and would like to have it displayed as part of this campaign, please submit your training information here.
The Carbon Literacy Project will host a special event on 1 November at 5:00 pm GMT - The Carbon Literacy Action Day - aligned with COP 26. The Project will be staging a global ‘Zoom’ broadcast throughout the day but climaxing at that time – traveling the world and sectors – and asking cohort representatives to describe the best actions from their group.
This training was developed by Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University in collaboration with the PRME Champions, Oikos International and the Carbon Literacy Project. It also includes an introduction to En-ROADS developed by Climate Interactive in collaboration with MIT Sloan and Ventana Systems.
New deadline: 22 October
The BLUE pins represent the PRME Selfie Video Competition where we are showcasing submissions from the community on their individual commitments to and engagements with climate action to secure a livable future for everyone.
Whether you have completed a Carbon Literacy course or not, get ready to explain and share the changes you have made in your life via a short video to demonstrate your commitment and to inspire and motivate others.
This PRME Selfie Video Competition is part of a global movement of individuals and communities to initiate wider climate action.
