Overview

The Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Global Forum originated in 2008 as an event intended to bring together all of PRME’s stakeholders: students, faculty, deans, board members, and others, in discussion about the latest innovations and challenges in responsible management education. Together, we aim to empower our global community committed to creating a more equitable, sustainable, and responsible future.

We continued this tradition at the 2026 PRME Global Forum, a premier gathering of global change-makers committed to shaping our future leaders. Under the theme “Global Unity, Local Impact,” the Forum explored how global frameworks can be translated into locally grounded action. Hosting the gathering in Cairo created an important platform for perspectives from Africa and the wider Global South, while reinforcing PRME’s role as a bridge between higher education, responsible business, the United Nations Global Compact, and communities around the world.

Across two days, plenary conversations and community-led sessions addressed the integration of the UN Global Compact’s 2026–2030 strategy, the future of higher education in Africa, academic incentives, youth leadership, responsible uses of artificial intelligence, public-policy engagement, student co-creation, experiential and arts-based learning, responsible research, institutional value creation, and cross-sector partnerships. The programme also recognized excellence in education, sustainability case writing, SIP reporting, student leadership, and social innovation.

The 2026 PRME Global Forum demonstrated the power of a global community working through local contexts. It created space not only for inspiration, but also for practical exchange, institutional reflection, and new relationships that can help business and management education contribute more effectively to sustainable development.
