Sunway City is approximately 35 minutes from KLIA under favourable traffic conditions, although travelers should allow approximately 45–75 minutes, particularly during morning and evening peak periods or heavy rain. Official Sunway guidance recommends airport taxi or pre-arranged hotel transport as convenient direct options.
For e-hailing services, download and set up the Grab application before or upon arrival. After collecting your luggage, follow airport signs to the designated e-hailing pick-up area and confirm the vehicle registration number before entering the vehicle.
When entering your destination, use the specific hotel, university or venue name rather than simply “Sunway City.”
Alternative: KLIA Ekspres via KL Sentral
Visitors may take the KLIA Ekspres train from either airport terminal to KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur's main transport hub. The journey from KLIA Terminal 1 to KL Sentral takes approximately 28 minutes, with Terminal 2 approximately three minutes further away. The standard adult single fare is currently RM55.
From KL Sentral, visitors will then need to take a taxi or e-hailing vehicle to Sunway City. While comfortable and reliable, this option involves an additional transfer and is therefore generally less convenient than travelling directly from the airport to Sunway City, particularly with luggage.
Sunway City is a large integrated township containing Sunway University, Sunway Resort, Sunway Pyramid Hotel, Sunway Lagoon Hotel, Sunway Pyramid shopping mall, Sunway Lagoon and numerous restaurants and facilities. Visitors should therefore ensure that their driver has the exact name of their hotel or destination.

The MDAC should be submitted within the three days before arrival, including the date of submission. Travelers will need to provide passport details, flight information and their address while staying in Malaysia.
Please use only the official Malaysian Immigration MDAC portal. Malaysian Immigration has issued warnings concerning unofficial or fraudulent MDAC websites.
When completing the MDAC, enter the full address of your hotel or accommodation, rather than simply “Sunway City Kuala Lumpur.” Although the destination is branded as Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, it is administratively located in Selangor.
