Logistics
There is a block of 50 rooms reserved at the Westin in New Cairo available for the duration of RME Week and can be booked for any of the dates during that week. The block includes classic single beds for 200.00 USD and classic double bed rooms for 220.00 USD, subject to 28.96% taxes and service charges per night on bed and breakfast basis. You may cancel this reservation free of charge maximum by 27May, 2026 after which the full stay plus taxes will be charged as per the agreed rates. The last date to book is 13 June, 2026.
We do not have formal room blocks with the following hotels but recommend them as additional options. There are also several additional hotels in the area not on the list but available to any attendees.

We will have a free shuttle route running between a handful of hotels in the area at specific times. Please see the map below to see the route and which hotels it will be stopping at. It will drop attendees off at the bus terminal entrance at AUC. Shuttle times will be shared closer to the date of the event.
Public transit is not available for this event and walking is not recommended due to the high temperatures and distance to venue. If you are not staying at one of the hotels on the route, you may take a taxi or Uber to a hotel to catch the shuttle or can you take a taxi or Uber straight to the venue. Uber is readily available in Egypt. Please take the taxi or Uber to Gate 4 and then enter through the Pepsi entrance to get to the venue. We will have signs to direct folks to the gates.
The RME Week organizers will help attendees join a tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum on 2 July, 2025 from 8am - 12pm. The total cost will be between $42-48. To register interest for this, please add it to your cart at registration. The organizers will reach out to arrange the tour and payment in April 2026. This option is only available to attendees who register before 1 April, 2026.
