IPAG Business School - PRME Report for Sustainability

The IPAG Business School is a French Business School (Grande Ecole), established in 1965 and training about 2400 students per year in its four main campuses (Paris, Nice, Thionville-Luxembourg, Abidjan), being fully commited towards the UN SdGs and the UN PRME principles.

Since its foundation under a no-profit (associative) statute by the President Charles de Gaulle’s Advisor Prof. Jacques Rueff, IPAG Business School endorses a ‘Teleology of the General Interest’, that refers to a ‘Culture of Common Good’. Accordingly, the School lawarded the French State certification EESPIG (“Etablissement d’Enseignement Supérieur Privé d’Intérêt Général”) which recognizes the independence of its governance and business model, its commitment and effective contribution to public interest as well as its no-profit status.

A member of the Conference of Grandes Écoles, of the UGEI and the CDEFM, the IPAG is fully engaged to train next generation of managers and entrepreneurs, as open-minded, agile and responsible leaders for tomorrow, effectively tooled to address the main (organizational, socio-environmental and business) challenges of our troubling times, and to contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable growth.

The IPAG Business School is authorized by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research to deliver a master’s degree (for the Grande Ecole Program) and a license’s degree (for its Bachelor in Management Program), in consideration of its pedagogical quality, of the excellence and international reputation of its research, of its commitment towards professionalization and internationalization, and of its positive impacts on Business & Society (through knowledge development, dissemination and best practices sharing, and stakeholders’ tooling).

As an accountable Business School engaged in a continuous-learning strategy, marked by application to national and international accreditations, the school awarded EPAS accreditation in 2017 and has been re-accredited EFMD in 2020 for the maximum duration of 5 years. It achieved the AACSB accreditation in July 2025 and serves a PRME Signatory’s member since 2019. The IPAG has achieved the BSIS (Business School Impact System) label (FNEGE-EFMD) in June 2020 for the Paris Campus, renewed in May 2025 and extended to the Nice Campus at the same time.

As a humanistic and human-centered Business School, the IPAG is strongly committed to endorse and implement PRME principles adopting a long-term and continuous learning approach. Currently, the school dedicates all the needed (human, operational and financial) resources to match the PRME goals and requirements.

Under the aegis of Dr. Oliver Maillard (Dean & Managing Directorà and under the leadership of Prof. Maria Giuseppina Bruna (Dean for Research, Dissemination and Impact of the IPAG Business School, Full Professor in Management & CSR, Director of the Chair “Towards an Inclusive Company”), the School’s Ethics, CSR, Sustainability and Inclusion strategy promotes (basic, applied and experimental) research and pedagogical innovation, corporate expertise and institutional consultancy, students’ initiatives and executive education, social innovation (inside our School) and stakeholders’ management, and place all these projects and initiatives on the light of Responsibility, Sustainability and Inclusiveness.

The IPAG contributes, by science and by teaching, by action-research and expertise, by students’ and alumni’s initiatives and by home-made social action to the development of knowledge, methods and tools aimed at facing the challenges of agility, inclusion, sustainability in the era of transitions.

In few words, the PRME approach, as well as the BSIS [Business School Impact System] methodology, enlightens the IPAG’s key-challenges, nourishes its strategy and improves its academic community’s practices.

Thanks to the commitment of the IPAG Chair “Towards an Inclusive Company”, an international and interdisciplinary platform for action-research, expertise, training and publishing addressing the crossed challenges on agility, inclusion, innovation and resilience at work, our School specifically contributes to the debate on Social Inclusion and Responsible Management, CSR and Sustainability, Organizational Forecasting and Environmental Transition.

Founded and managed by Prof. Maria Giuseppina Bruna, the Chair enjoys extensive acknowledgment, both in France and internationally, in the field of gender equality, diversity and inclusion policies, women’s networks, change management and social inclusion. It cooperates with Institutions (as UNDP, UNRSF, UNECE, European Commission, UNOC, OCDE, French Ministries for Labor, Territorial Cohesion and Higher Education) and is sponsored by main organizations and companies, among them the UNDP, the FACE Foundation and its partners (Axa, Engie, Orange, Michelin…), the MICHELIN Foundation, the CBRE France Group, the VYV Group, etc. It interacts with professional associations and provides (or has provided) knowledge, enlightenment, tools and scientifically grounded support to more than 55 companies, 18500 executives, managers and change leaders all over the world. Implementing pluriannual and multi-partner Research & Development programs, the Chair develops, shares and spreads (by executive and initial education, pedagogical innovation, publishing, executive education and/or opened conferences…) knowledge, innovative approaches and tools, rooted in a fruitful dialogue between academic literature, empirical experimentation and professional practices. That way, the Chair contributes to the dissemination and the operationalization of the main achievements of IPAG’s Research & Development programs on Business Ethics, CSR, inclusive management, Corporate Strategy and Organizational Forecasting. It contributes to identify and face the challenges of our time, designing and testing innovative solutions to conciliate social inclusiveness, economic viability, and environmental sustainability. That way, the Chair engenders a positive social impact, by science, by teaching, by social action and by its students’ initiatives. Finally, it contributes to the design, sense-giving and implementation of the IPAG’s corporate strategy in the fields of CSR.

As a humanistic Business School, IPAG Business School contributes to share and exchange on effective and innovative practices and tools related to these Principles with other academic institutions. The IPAG’s participation to the PMRE network has provided us an exceptional opportunity to improve our understanding and practice concerning equality, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability our Gender Equality and Sustainability plans, to strengthen our own social and environmental efficiency and to raise our awareness to new topics.

The school reports on policies, initiatives and progresses in the field of CSR, Sustainability and Inclusion to its main stakeholders (public authorities, international and no-profit organizations, accreditation and certification agencies, students, companies, alumni, medias…).

The present PRME Report testifies the IPAG’s commitment and its alignment with PRME values and principles. It shows the continuous improvement approach endorsed by the school to match the challenges of tomorrow.
