Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

In the area of resarch the the Sustainable Management research cluster has a central function of linking research and teaching at Cologne Business School. Sustainable Management is the interdisciplinary area that interrelates with the diverse research activities and results of the other clusters. The Sustainable Management research cluster thus draws on the entire range of CBS business administration and management expertise as well as on its current research findings.

CBS has a specific chair for CSR topics named Dr. Jürgen Meyer Endowed Chair for International Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility. The Chair deals with issues relating to Corporate Social Responsibility, international business and corporate ethics, sustainability and social innovation. These areas are core subjects in the degree programmes and business-related departments at CBS. Thanks to this integrated approach, the Endowed Chair plays an innovative pioneering role in German academia.

The aim of CBS is to make Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainable management integral components of business-related research and management training. It also provides future managers with a theoretical and practical grounding in this increasingly important topic, beginning during their studies.
