Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics (USBE) is since February 2015 an environmentally certified business school based on EMS ISO14001 and since February 2018 AACSB accredited. We have a mission driven approach and sustainability police to deeply integrate sustainability and responsible management in our program objectives as a part of our mission, impact and innovation ambitions and quality system. Detailed goals an KPIs has been developed that both consider sustainability and responsible management principles. Sustainability Objective
USBE’s orientation towards sustainable development will be reflected in and reinforced by education, research and collaboration with stakeholders. The direct environmental impact will be on a sustainable level.

Detailed goals
USBE shall broaden the scope and clarify the progression of sustainable development in education.
USBE shall strengthen and clarify research and doctoral education on sustainable development.
USBE shall strengthen cooperation with stakeholders by increasing the number of collaborative activities on sustainable development.
USBE’s environmental impact from support operations will be on a sustainable level.

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

USBE has established research centres/groups in environmental and resource economics (CERE) , sustainability and business ethics (Riseb), and Sustainable Investment Research Platform (SIRP). We use ISO14001 as a tool to increase CSR and sustainability in research and corporate and community relations to provide a strong profile on sustainability.

The ISO14001 certification since February 2015 and the PRME principles since 2013 provides a solid platform to work on sustainability and responsible management.
