UN PRME SIP Report: Haas School of Business - View Report

Period Covered: Aug 2016 to Nov 2018

At Berkeley Haas, we develop leaders who redefine how we do business. Our mission challenges our institution to integrate values and deliver leaders who will build a more sustainable and inclusive world. We rely upon our Defining Leadership Principles (DLPs) to put this ambitious mission into practice: Question the Status Quo, Confidence Without Attitude, Students Always, and Beyond Yourself. The PRME principles and the DLPs support and amplify each other to produce innovative, path-breaking leaders.

Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

* Curriculum integration. A student committee, supervised by the Center for Responsible Business at Haas, is exploring opportunities to integrate sustainability into both core and elective courses.
* Program design. Three academic centers on Haas' campus do work in the area of CSR and sustainability: The Center for Responsible Business, the Center for Nonprofit and Public Leadership, and the Global Social Venture Competition. A working group consisting of the leaders of those three organizations has been created to coordinate the activities of the three organizations and identify opportunities for collaboration that will enhance the socially- and environmentally-focused extracurricular offerings at Haas.
