WFI – Ingolstadt School of Management SIP Report 2017-19 - View Report

Period Covered: Aug 2017 to Aug 2019

The report deals with changes in our degree programs that have allowed PRME-related issues to play a more prominent role in our curricula, the establishment of new institutes dedicated to PRME-related research and transfer projects, new partnernships and new formats that promote the exchange of knowledge between science, politics, business and civil society, as well as activities promoting family friendliness, equality and sustainability, as well as goals for the next reporting period.

Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

Achieved: Chairs for Business Ethics: Chair "Christian Social Ethics and Social Policy", Chair "Economic Ethics and Social Policy", Chair "Business Ethics, esp. Corporate Governance"

Achieved: Mandatory course on ethics in all degree programs

Achieved: More interdisciplinary content in the Bachelor programs through new specializations, e.g. Business & Psychology, Business Ethics

Achieved: Work on mainstreaming responsibility issues - PRME-related topics are addressed throughout the curricula

Achieved: Numerous guest lectures on Corporate Social Responsibility

Achieved: Introduction of innovative teaching methods in cooperation with partners

Achieved: Introduction of a new double-degree program with the Toulouse School of Management (TSM)

Achieved: Increase in the diversity of the student population at WFI via semester-long and short-term programs for international students

Planned: Development of a new Master's program in Business and Psychology

Planned: Development of the specialization in “Entrepreneurship & Social Innovation” of our Master program in Business Administration in order to include more international students and allow for an increased international exchange

Planned: Preparation of a module “Social Impact Start-ups” for the Virtual Academy Sustainability, Bremen

Planned: Development of an international platform to connect Business Schools in Africa, Latin America and Asia with Social Impact Start-up Entrepreneurs in order to promote action learning globally.

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

Achieved: Establishment of the KU Research Institute for Business and Economics in Service of Humanity (BESH)

Achieved and ongoing: Several doctoral students with PhD Thesis’ on CSR, Business Ethics, Social Entrepreneurship

Achieved and ongoing: Initiation of new formats for and strengthening of the exchange of knowledge between science, politics, business and civil society in the Ingolstadt region, addressing sustainable development, mobility, digital transformation and civic engagement via the “Man IN Motion” project

Achieved and ongoing: PRME-related research output by newly established institutes such as BESH and the Ingolstadt Institute for Applied Sustainability (inas)

Planned: Extention of the cooperation with other faculties in PRME-related research and transfer projects, e.g. via the planned KU Ethics Center in Ingolstadt
