University of Dubai, PRME Sharing Information on Progress - View Report

Period Covered: May 2014 to May 2016

The University of Dubai (UD) is a leading university in the United Arab Emirates. UD has completed eight years as a signatory of PRME and three years as a champion member. UD is actively participating in the anti-poverty interest group of PRME. This report contains the major events related to the six principles that were conducted during the past two years, focusing on the first three, fifth and sixth principles.

Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

Added a core course, BBUS 350, Business and Society for the BBA program. This course covers topics such as CSR, Corporate governance, Environment, and Ethics. Case studies and chapters on the above topics were made mandatory in other Social Sciences courses.

From fall 2014, College of Business will introduce an elective course on Sustainability in the BBA program.
