PRME Community COVID-19 Response
Message from Acting Chair of PRME Steering Committee
PRME Secretariat and UN Global Compact COVID-19 Response
First and foremost, on behalf of the PRME Secretariat, we hope everyone is taking care and receiving the assistance needed during this uncertain time. We want to assure you that the PRME Secretariat is working closely with our partners at the World Health Organization, United Nations and UN Global Compact to act accordingly and provide the most updated information, regarding COVID-19.
The announcement by the World Health Organization (WHO) earlier this month, labeling the outbreak a pandemic, calls on all actors, from civil society to businesses, to take precautions and respond accordingly in order to limit the spread of the novel virus.
The PRME Secretariat team in New York will continue to work diligently in supporting academia and all partners to the best of our abilities. We encourage all signatories and the wider PRME community to heed the advice of local authorities and take the necessary precautions in order to limit the contagion and protect both our healthcare systems and the most vulnerable populations from being encumbered.
