PRME Conference on Sustainable Business Practices


Aim: to facilitate a dialog with companies, in the area and beyond, about issues and challenges as they move toward a more sustainable posture, and to highlight presentations pertaining to teaching and pedagogy with respect to managing sustainably. Academic and corporate participants are invited to discuss issues and challenges pertaining broadly to all three aspects of sustainability ‐ Economic, Environmental, and Social. The conference program is designed to facilitate an exchange of ideas, share best practices, and create collaborations.

Type of participants envisioned: between 100 and 200 corporate, academic, and student attendees. Already received participation commitments from senior executives at DuPont, AAMCO, Mannington Mills, and GE. Expected participation from a broad spectrum of industries. Also, a number of faculty members from universities in the region, will present papers on their research that pertains to elements of sustainable management. There is also a plan to have student presentations / poster sessions.
