At the conclusion of the 5th PRME Asia Forum participants agreed to launch three PRME Chapters for the Asia region focusing on East Asia (China, Japan, South Korea), the ASEAN region as well as South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka). The event was supported by the World Association of Business Schools in Islamic Countries and held in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia.

The PRME Regional Forum Asia provided a platform for business school thought leaders and stakeholders to meet and discuss global challenges in the Asian context. The discussions focused on ways in which business schools are going about developing more responsible management graduates. In particular, participants stressed that Asian viewpoints need to be stressed and what is different in Asia compared to other regions. The collaboration between academic and non-academic organizations within the PRME initiatives was acknowledged as an important factor.
