2014 1st PRME Regional Meeting North America

Date: 10-11 October 2014

Venue: University of Washington Bothell School of Business, Seattle, WA, USA.

The 1st PRME Regional Meeting North America brought together leaders of business schools, faculty members, students, business representatives, and government and nonprofit agencies, where participants expressed their interest in working together and strengthening the engagement in the region. In a key outcome of the event, the emerging PRME Chapter North America (USA and Canada) was created.

This inaugural Regional Meeting celebrated responsible management in the business schools across the vast region. Attendees of this workshop were positioned at the forefront of an influential new horizon in business education and responsible management. While the pre-workshop was marked by inspirational site visits to the Bullitt Center and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and keynote by Gifford Pinchot III of the Bainbridge Global Institute, the meeting was conducted as an interactive workshop, engaging attendees in conversations and exercises that sparked thought-provoking debate on crucial issues such climate change, how to embed PRME into the curricula, how best report, gender equality in the classroom and teaching, interfaith religion and responsible management education, among others.

In 2015, the 2nd PRME Regional Meeting North America will be hosted by Coles College of Business, Kennesaw State University
