How will Coronavirus impact this event?

  • PRME and the UN Global Compact are working closely with our partner, the World Health Organization (WHO), local, state, and federal agencies to plan for a safe event. As a result we are proceeding with the Global Forum as planned, with the health and safety of our attendees and staff as our top priority.
  • Information and practices are changing during this rapidly evolving situation and we will continue to follow national guidelines.
  • We understand that some institutions have corporate travel bans for staff. In response, we will offer a full refund for anyone who must cancel their Global Forum registration before 15 May.
  • We encourage you to register for the Global Forum because the event will be at capacity.
  • Any updates to 2020 Global Forum will be communicated to registered attendees and available on our website as soon as we have any updates.

General Information

What is the Global Forum?

Following the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit and 20th Anniversary, this year's Global Forum will provide a collaborative platform and action-oriented space to celebrate achievements and highlight best practices within the community, address the need for a new governance structure and strategic direction, and explore the role that higher education would take on in the Decade of Action. Some of the sessions this year will include:

  • Focus sessions for PRME Chapters, Working Groups, Deans, Partners and more
  • Sessions related to sustainable finance, rankings, cross-sector partnerships and more
  • Student-led panel on the value of sustainability-focused education in building competencies for the future
  • Finale of the 3rd PRME Innovation Challenge as well as other student-engagement initiatives
  • Plenary on the outcome of the 2018-2019 Champions Cycle - A Blueprint for SDG Integration in Business Schools
  • Presentation on a revised governance structure and strategic direction for PRME

Where is the Global Forum?

The main two-day event will take place at Capitale (130 Bowery) and the UN Headquarters (801 1st Avenue).

What are the costs involved with participating in the Global Forum?

The registration rates for the Global Forum are distinguished by participant tiers and are as follows:

Can I get the PRME Signatory prices?

If you received an email inviting you to register for the Global Forum, your registration fee is based on your selected participant tier with the PRME. If you would like to upgrade your school's participation with us, please reach out to Nikolay Ivanov, at .

To join PRME and receive discounted registration rates, click here. We encourage you to finalize payment and will be able to refund you to difference. Please email to process your refund once you have successfully ungraded your tier or joined for the first time.

Can PRME cover costs of registration?

Kindly note that registration fees for the Forum are cost covering. Neither the PRME Secretariat nor the Global Compact is able to fund costs of travel or lodging for participants.

Registration:

Do all participants need to register in advance for the Global Forum?

Yes, all participants must register and submit payment (if applicable) in full via the online registration system in order to receive access to the UN Headquarters. Photo ID will be required upon arrival and must match the information contained within your online registration profile. Details and instructions for accessing the registration system can be found in your official invitation letter. Please be advised that emails and/or letters to PRME cannot be processed and will not be considered a substitute for online registration.

When is the last day to register for the Global Forum?

The last day to register for the Global Forum is 11 June. Registration will sell out. Please secure your tickets early and at the best rates.

What is the cancellation policy for the Global Forum?

Cancellation requests must be submitted to on or before 15 May. We understand that some institutions have general corporate travel bans for staff. In response, the cancellation fee will be waived for anyone who must cancel before May 15, 2020.

Refunds cannot be processed after 15 May 2020.
