Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

SRH Fernhochschule has already incorporated into the academic activities and curricula topics like business ethics, CSR and sustainability. For example, the bachelor degree programme “Business and Management“ contains 5,5% modules with ethics-related content, 3,3% of all modules in the programme have sustainability content and 1,1% of modules have CSR-content. In the future, we plan to further incorporate the values of global social responsibility as portrayed in international initiatives such as the United Nations Global Compact. We will continue creating educational frameworks, materials, processes and environments that enable effective learning experiences for responsible leadership. This refers both to existing degree programmes in the business and management field as well as those programmes that will be developed and newly introduced in the future. Integrating these topics implies specifically including them in module descriptions and learning outcomes, study letters as well as online and on-site lectures. We will offer support for students that wish to conduct research in these fields, e.g. through thesis writing.

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

The faculty of SRH Fernhochschule is already engaged in conceptual and empirical research that advances our understanding about the role, dynamics, and impact of corporations in the creation of sustainable social environmental and economic value. That is: There are contributions by individual professors to research in CSR, sustainability etc. in the form of conference presentations, academic paper etc. However, there has been no systematic support of these activities so far. In the future, we plan to continue and extend the research activities in this field by deliberately and systematically supporting conceptual and empirical research projects.
