Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

-Ethics and/or sustainability is infused in the undergraduate curriculum for over 60% of our courses. Our goal is to enhance this to 100%, most particularly for the capstone course, which all business students must take their senior year
-We would like to enhance ethics and sustainability in the graduate curriculum, particularly in the quantitative areas
-We currently support both the undergraduate and graduate NetImpact Chapters and our faculty and students will present workshops in the upcoming annual conference
-Our faculty, under the auspices of our Pedro Arrupe Center for Business Ethics, provides executive education, coaching, and consulting, in the areas of ethics, to businesses and business leaders, and we would like to increase this level of engagement more in the future
-A new major, Leadership, Ethics, and Organizational Sustainability, was instituted three years ago. Over 80 majors are in this program.

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

-Over 75% of our faculty, representing all disciplines (accounting, finance, management, business intelligence, marketing, pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing, and food marketing, are ethics fellows, which means that they have either pursued research in, undergone curriculum development, or other scholarship activities in ethics and/or sustainability. Would we would like to reach full 100% participation in 1-3 years.
-Students in Leadership, Ethics, and Organizational Sustainability courses work directly with companies to achieve BCorps certification. We have assisted several companies to achieve this certification and we would like to increase (at least double) this number in the next 1-2 years
-We are currently undergoing an energy audit of our business building, and we hope to implement the recommendations of this company to reduce our energy use and implement energy-efficient lighting, and other energy consumption-reducing solutions
-We are working with a company and a nearby elementary school to establish vertical organic farming, which will be managed by business and education students, to provide healthy products to the schools, as well as a revenue stream for the school
