The University through the “PakiglaUM”, supports the community extension efforts of all colleges and academic programs. This forms part of the components of the strategic direction set by the University for 2012 to 2017.
Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
The university embraces the calibrated concept of community extension engagement and empowerment through a procedural standard that guides the academic community in the implementation of extension program in their respective departments.
The university's community extension is a social formation program that helps students develop action values that is indicative of the institution's core value of excellence, honesty, integrity, innovation & team work.
Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
The university signed an agreement with the local water district for the adoption of 7-hectare reforestation land at Malagos water shed with a 90% survival rate.
The university implemented more than 10 major projects that benefit more than 10,000 households in increasing the the communities concern for the environment.
Promote the successful increase of income of GK Catigan farmers through formation of farmers' cooperative and food terminal with an initial capitalization of P15,000 which grew to P1.3 million at the end of the year.
The pre-school education program which started in 1990 were able to assist underprivileged children early childhood learning.
The Basic Electricity Skills Training conducted produced 20 underprivileged youth from a public high school.
Formation of the Padaman Islamic Women Cooperative and the Iñigo Village Women's Cooperative which was awarded a grant of P125,000 from the national government agency, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
