Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

International Culture University (ICU) is a committed and innovative initiative to build leaders in the development sectors of all nations to protect, promote cultural diversity and culturally enlightened generation for building peace and rights, share and care of humanity round the Globe.

This both campus based and online virtual university has been catering to the culture based educational needs for the general students, working adults, cultural activists, managers, performers and job seekers.

ICU is a private program with the wishes of thousands of cultural activists and leaders. The institution has kept in touch with several cultural organizations which are playing vital roles in promoting and protecting the UNESCO cultural diversity.

ICU’s curriculum is an integration of culture, tradition and technology considering the best fit skilled personnel for the development of the future.

Currently, a diverse range of accredited Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral Degree Programs are being offered here.

Campus based and online education through the International Culture University (ICU) will produce multi-cultural professionals and ensure the development of cultural leadership to protect and promote cultural heritage and diversity for all nations. This will also initiate an approach in mainstreaming culture as a development component.

To achieve this, ICU will develop a special curriculum where all relevant UNESCO conventions to do with heritage protection and preservation will be included to mainstream culture and heritage in the education system through those academic disciplines which are proposed in ICU website. ICU has been initiating online campus in various countries along with the cultural activists, organizations and appointing contact basis teachers (at the primary level) to run the university in their own country.

All 6 conventions of UNESCO to do with heritage protection and preservation will be translated by the teachers in their respective languages. Students will be taught about these 6 conventions either in English or in their mother language. All students will get basic knowledge about the World Heritage Convention (1972) and the 5 other UNESCO Conventions (1954, 1970, 2001, 2003 and 2005) through internet online distance learning. This will enable them to attain a comparative learning on their own local or national heritage. Each student will have to take part in study visits to his/her respective World Heritage properties during studying the World Heritage Convention (1972). More over other UN Conventions also be included covering Child Rights , Humamn rights, Women rights, Gender issues and Climate issues along with professional subjects.
The same pedagogical system will be introduced through different campuses of ICU. Already campuses are being developed in different countries. Leadership, corporate responsibility and sustaininbility will be focused in the education system.

Everyone knows that Culture is an indispensable and invisible bond, which ties us in the community together. The art, literature, language, religion and the daily activities of the people of a community not only represent its culture, but also its moral values and ethics. The importance of culture lies in its close relationship with the people’s lives. Different cultures have brought diversity in the ways of life of the people inhabiting in different parts of the world. We might make a network of Diversified Cultures through the study of cultural knowledge, strategy and proper implementation.

Such an education system is demanded by the future of the multi-cultural world in order to enable professionals of all sectors to be fit for working anywhere in the world. Since culture is related to the development of one’s attitude, learning human culture with all system disciplines of study is essential.

The sensed demands mentioned above are the basis of the formation of ICU.

It will also initiate a movement in mainstreaming culture in formal pedagogy as a development approach.
