Empowerment through Entrepreneurship-A unique CSR initiative under PRME - View Report

Newports Institute of Communications and Economics became the first higher educational institute in Pakistan to sign the UN Global Compact Program in the year 2005. NICE was also selected amongst 50 Business Schools worldwide to formulate “Principles for Responsible Management Education”. At NICE, we feel it our utmost responsibility to inculcate professional and social values amongst our students, so that they make their most productive contribution to the socio-economic development of our country.

Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

Being the task force member, Institute had the privilege to interact and share ideas in drafting the PRME. Corporate Social Responsibility has been introduced as the course for full time and part time students enrolled in the undergraduate and graduate programs.

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

Business Talks Series has been launched where representatives from different corporate sectors are invited to share their practises with the students and the management. Students have been given the assignment in the course to execute a social projects on the basis of which extra credits are awarded
