Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
Every graduate course and career at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Business School has a separate business ethics subject.
* All the business ethics subjects and the teachers who dictate them are coordinated by a full-time teacher of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences.
* This teacher, who is a researcher in Business Ethics, also coordinates the group of teachers and contents dictated in the undergraduate courses at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences.
Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
The Pontificia Universidad Catolica Business School has an Applied Research Programme. One of the research projects is Business Ethics, including different contents such as sustainable finance, corporate governance and the business school´s role in the education of responsible managers.
This research project aims at contributing to the improvement of the ethics subjects present in all the postgraduate courses at the Business School as well as the coordination of the concrete ethical contents analyzed in other subjects related to the company’s functional areas (human resources, marketing, finance, logistics, production, research and development, public affairs, etc.).
This research project is in charge of a full-time teacher belonging to the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at UCA, who also coordinates the group of teachers and contents dictated in all the undergraduate and Post graduate programmes at the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences and at the Business School.
The Pontificia Universidad Católica Business School promotes this subject at a regional level in all Latin America, specifically among and in coordination with other catholic universities. The Board of advisors of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Business School, key structure in this task, is presided by Enrique V. Iglesias, former president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB).
Considering its multidisciplinary character, the Pontificia Universidad Católica Business School will work on this research project in coordination with the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Engineering.
The University’s mission, its long tradition in the teaching of ethics among different levels (undergraduate, post graduate, doctoral and executive), its experienced group of teachers and directors, and its privileged position in the context of this challenge, proves the importance of this project and its potential benefit to the private sector.
