Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
PLU's mission speaks to educating "students for lives of thoughtful inquiry, service, leadership and care - for other people, for their communities, and for the earth.
The business school is committed to educating students about principles of sustainability and to values that recognize diverse stakeholder groups, including unborn generations.
We are now working with the University's Environmental Studies Committee to enable and encourage business majors to complete course work in environmental sciences and for environmental studies majors to enroll in business courses.
Several student teams work with non-profit agencies such as Goodwill Industries, Red Cross, etc.
Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
Several business school faculty have developed expertise and published in the area of environmental and triple-bottom line accounting and impact research.
We plan to open a Center for the Study of Risk Management and Sustainability (or something very similar) within the next three years.
