Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
Business programs at SCU have a long history of incorporating elements of ethical management, sustainability and social responsibility into its course content. After consultation with staff, students and stakeholders, the School will begin to embed responsible business into all educational and research activities. Led by the Dean Professor Robin Stonecash, there will be a deliberate plan to brand the School as the leader in tackling the grand challenges and wicked problems in the business and policy spheres. The School will develop a framework to guide decision making within the School that reflects our commitment to Responsible Business. We will base this framework in part on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and initiatives such as the Principles of Responsible Management and the Global Responsible Leadership Initiative for guidance.
Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
Our purpose is to lead the development of Responsible Business practices for the next generation. Responsible Business will connect the School to our local and regional business communities. It will enable us to take part in and lead conversations with the community about how to create sustainable value for all stakeholders. We aim to reshape the attitudes and behaviours of business and industries to conduct business in a socially responsible, environmentally conscious, ethical and sustainable manner, to be able to engage in good governance and recognise the views of multiple stakeholders. We will undertake various research and knowledge development activities to support these goals.
