The Department of Business at Rollins College has three vibrant majors for undergraduate students: International Business, Business Management, and Social Entrepreneurship & Business (SEB). The Business Management and SEB majors, approved in 2013 and fully implemented in 2014, adopted the principles of PRME as a foundation for their curriculum. These majors have increased curricular requirements, extracurricular opportunities, and faculty research projects related to PRME principles.
Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
•The school offers a responsible Business Management major/minor and a Social Entrepreneurship & Business major/minor
•Both programs have been designed according to responsible leadership principles and integrate emphasis on social impact and environmental sustainability
•The curriculum includes community engagement components aligned to classwork
Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
•Several faculty members regularly publish research on social entrepreneurship, social impact, responsible management and operations practices.
•The school has a Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship Hub which provides training and funding opportunities for faculty.
•Business Management and Social Entrepreneurship students take part in a 5 hour immersion on design thinking at the Florida Hospital Innovation Lab
