Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

Babson is noted worldwide for its unique and innovative curriculum, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. All students at Babson earn business degrees, and our curriculum provides a unique focus on entrepreneurship and, more broadly, entrepreneurial thinking. In addition, Babson is a leader in developing an integrated delivery model with a focus on real-world experiences through a variety of curricular and co-curricular options for students. Our Executive Education Center is recognized as one of the leading providers of executive education in the world, offering a variety of general and custom-designed programs both on-campus and at other locations. We have long had a focus on corporate responsibility in all of our programs and have developed unique options for students, such as those around social entrepreneurship. Our goals are driven by our desire to leverage our success in curriculum design and development by creating new options for students on the important topics of corporate responsibility and sustainability. In fact, we have begun efforts to ensure that all students are exposed to social entrepreneurship at various points in the curriculum.

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

Babson is a leader in management scholarship, especially in the areas of case-writing and monitoring of entreprenerial development. Babson is one of the founding members of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), which conducts research in more than 40 countries on the level of entrepreneurial activity in these countries. Our goals include an increased focus on developing cases that relate to corporate responsibility and sustainability, as well as extending the GEM project into the area of social entrepreneurship around the world. A recent generous $10.8 million gift by a friend of the College has allowed us to create the Lewis Institute, which will focus on researching innovative and entrepreneurial solutions to the world's problems.
