Macquarie University's Faculty of Business and Economics offers various curriculum and extracurricular initiatives which support students to engage with the values of global responsibility and the SDGs. These include our People, Planet and award-winning PACE units; our Assurance of Learning processes; our Graduate Capabilities Framework which specifically declares that our graduates will be 'engaged global citizens'; numerous units of study that focus on sustainability, ethics, and responsible management; our Education for Sustainability initiative to map sustainability across the curriculum; and various student mentoring and enrichment programs such as Lucy mentoring and the Global Leadership Program.

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

MQFBE’s research is making a positive global contribution and impact on business and societal challenges. Our research has had impact in every one of the 17 SDGs. In particular, we are accelerating our impactful discovery within a number of SDGs, namely SDG 1: No Poverty, SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing, SDG 13: Climate Action and SDG: 16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, reflecting our research strengths in ageing populations, escalating pressures in the health system, climate change and environmental challenges, and economic growth. Contributions are being made via research undertaken by faculty as well as by higher degree research students, and by funded collaborations with academic and corporate partners.
