This report refers to practices as courses, meetings, partnership and events that are aligned with the PRME’s Six Principles.

Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

COPEL is a Global Compact participant and has its operations and strategies aligned with the ten universally accepted principles.
Regarding sustainability, COPEL has been working this subject by videos, lectures and informatives through company´s intranet and events. Examples of such practices are the Social and Evironmental Good Practices Seminar where social and environmental issues are debated with employees, suppliers and invited institutions. Also, in 2013, COPEL promoted the Susi Pontarolli Trophy, a reward for employees and suppliers’ sustainable actions.
By being a participant of PRME, COPEL intends to:
• adopt corporative responsability and sustainability themes in its leaders curricula;
• promote debates about corporate sustainable practices among employees and company´s leaders;
• have a skilled managerial body to work in a sustainable world.

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

COPEL’s core competences are generation, transmission and distribution of electricity. R&D studies conducted by the company incorporate sustainability practices in its conduction.
It is intended to:
• work in partnership with R&D Institutions and Universities developing themes related to corporative responsability and sustainability.
• foster research about Social Responsability and Sustainability by our employees and academic community and include Responsible Leadership and Sustainability as interest theme for postgraduate programme.
