Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

The Sobey School of Business includes in its Mission the commitment to prepare citizens of the world to lead sustainable businesses and communities.
Ethics is a mandatory credit course in our undergraduate and graduate program. Ethics is integrated across the curriculum in all programs.
Ethics and sustainability are embedded in the values of both the School and the University.
The Dean of the Business School is on the Board of Directors of CCEPA - The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Public Affairs.
Our Centre for Cooperative Management Education is the only one of its kind and promotes the Cooperative business model through its many activities including graduate-level programming, a journal and affiliated research.
Our award-winning ENACTUS chapter is thriving.
We have awards and scholarships that promote ethics and social responsibility.
Our School was invited to send delegates to the World Youth Forum on Ethics in Business. 2 graduate students were fully funded to attend and participate.
We plan to further develop, explore and embed the concept of responsibility throughout our research, teaching and service initiatives.

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

We have many active researchers in the areas of corporate responsibility and sustainability in departments including management, finance and accounting.
We have prominent faculty members researching in the area of fraud, reporting, CSR, business ethics and many other related areas.
Our 3 Canada Research Chair's are all working in related areas (specifically corporate governance, occupational health and well-being and leadership and health).
Our Centre of Excellence for Accounting & Reporting in Co-operatives focuses on the difference of purpose for co-operatives and the need to account for the use of resources to achieve member and community value-driven goals.
The CN Centre for Occupational Health and Safety conducts research on the best practices in creating safe and psychologically healthy workplaces.
We are just launching a suite of executive education offerings and see many opportunities to engage with the PRME network to round out our portfolio.
We are currently doing Board development training in partnership with other Canadian universities and are interested in incorporating the anti-corruption toolkit among other initiatives.
