Sharing Information on Progress (2016)
Period Covered: May 2013 to Aug 2016
This document is the first Sharing Information on Progress (SIP) of the Basel School of Business. We are committed to sustainable management and to the implementation of the PRME principles in our organization as well as in our teaching. The report is structured under the six PRME principles: Purpose, values, method, research, partnership, and dialogue.
Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
We believe that ethics and responsible management should not be taught as separate courses; rather, we have developed a curriculum and university policy that each class must contain a LES (Legal, Ethical and Socially Responsible) component, which we internally refer to as our LES is MORE concept.
In addition, we are developing workshops around LES real-world case studies to augment the curriculum, and hope to involve our alumni in the delivery.
Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
We have just begun partnering with organizations in the Basel area. A core component of our mission is to collaborate with them in developing our academic programs. We hope that by demonstrating how our "LES is MORE" philosopy can be beneficial to our students, it too can benefit their stakeholders.
