Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
The University of St. Thomas, Opus College of Business, with our affiliate the Center for Ethical Business Cultures, emphasizes the importance of creating and sustaining ethical business cultures. Recent research includes a book published in 2012 by Cambridge University Press, “Corporate Responsibility: The American Experience” which traces business behavior and practices from the middle of the 18th century to the modern day and demonstrates how ideas about corporate responsibilities have evolved over time, with the roles, relationships and performance of corporations coming under increasing scrutiny. In addition, faculty at the Opus College of Business are editing the 3rd edition of Wiley Encyclopedia of Management’s Business Ethics Volume, in partnership with the Center for Ethical Business Cultures. This involves the review of 200 articles for inclusion in this edition of the volume, which is to be published in 2014.
