Report on Progress: Implementation of the U.N. Principles for Responsible Management Education - View Report

Period Covered: Nov 2013 to Nov 2015

This report to express our commitment to the UN Principles for Responsible management Education and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We focus on the development of students capabilities, dedicated to the social and cultural development of the nation and region.Evidence for this is found in the curriculum of our academic programmes. Our commitment is also evident in the work our academic experts carry out with industry,government and social organizations and the University’s reach out to the community

Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

BUiD managed to establish itself as a true community based university. It has achieved on many levels in the area of SCR. it won the Pearl Award for its community work and is known as a hub for innovative research based community development projects such as the teacher assistant project that changed Emirati ladies who never had a chance to access higher education to gain a certificate to become teacher assistants to support the inclusion of learners with disability in the UAE.

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

BUiD is a research based academic institute. we are we have a full calender that contains activities related to CSR and research is a default element as we are the 1st Middle East research based academic institute with only post graduate degrees. the 1st Doctorate in the Country in the field of Education was BUiD's with a topic that relates closely to the development of the community and looking after those who are at risk of under achievement in society.
