Alberta College is a higher educational institution which implements higher education standards and keeps in line with the latest development trends in the business sector, thus preparing highly qualified experts for business in all 11 study programs offered by Alberta College.
Considering Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability as an important trend of a modern business, Alberta College is continuing UN PRME initiative.

Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

Alberta College is a higher educational institution, witch try to implement higher educational standards and follow the development in business sector, in all 8 offered study programs Alberta College prepares highly qualified experts for business. Concidering Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability as an important trend of a modern business Alberta College is joining UN PRME initiative.

The topics about Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability are integrated in many subjects in all study programs: Management, Business Organisation and Planning, Culture Management, Reputation Management, Human Resource,Marketing, Public Relations, Mass Communications, Public Relations Strategy and Tactics, Practical Communication Competence and Proffesional Ethics, Business law, Labour and Social Law. It is important to note that Business Ethics is a core subject in all study programms.

In 2012 Alberta College realized Erasmus Intensive programme „Innovative management methods in Social Sciences” were was discussed questions of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (Participated students and lecturers from all three Baltic States- Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania).

Collaborating with partners, College organizes workshops and guest lectures on Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability for students and lecturers. For example in 2012 collaborating with Employers’ Confederation of Latvia (LDDK) was organized two day learning seminar “Corporate Responsibility’s principles”.

Alberta College as a private higher educational institution, which try to work according to principles of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, raising its significance and acting as an examples of good practice for partners, lecturers, students and alumni.

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

From 2013 Alberta College:

- Will establish annual grant dedicated to the research on Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability;
- Will organize forums and conferences on Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability issues;
- Will organize trainings for students, lecturers and Latvian businessmen on Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability principles;
- Will publish a report on progress on the action taken
