Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

All our programs, undergraduate,MBA, and specialized master programs in Economics, Marketing and Finances, include a required course to all students in social responsibility and sustainability in which cases and simulations are used to improve judgment and criteria about the social effects of decisions.
The School has adopted as one of the main learning objectives in all the undergraduate and graduate programs to become a social responsible manager and has designed an assessment methodology to know the level of compromise of students with the well being of society and its sustainability. The result of this assessment is a basic information to improve courses in which social responsibility could be analyzed from different points of view as in marketing, finance, economics, organizational behavior and accounting.

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

For several years the school has been engaged in research related with the responsible use of technology and employment in a city like Cali, Colombia, where immigration from the country side has been a social problem. We are the leaders of the Labor Ministry's commission for employment studies in the region. The school has been in charge of different research projects related to the use of sugar cane bagasse in the generation of electricity by sugar companies in the region. For more than ten years the School's academic Finance department has been the leader in the region in conducting studies and consultancy to companies in Corporate Governance aimed to assure all stakeholders transparence and fair treatment. As a result papers, cases and books have been published.
